Tone squelch (pilot tone or CTCSS) is a new function in CB radio communication. So you can build an own group with your friends and colleagues and everybody in this group can listen to the other ones. With activated TSQ the normal squelch is not activated. The radio has the ability to decode the CTCSS codes always in the best sensitivity and does not react to any noises or external signal without CTCSS.
